In coaching you work on your own situation, not on examples, until you can come back to yourself without me. For teams, a morning gives everyone a shared language for what they were already doing. And for coaches, training to use CRI5 with your own clients.
What you understand when you are calm has to be there when you are not. That is the whole job of the coaching.
One recurring loop, worked through until it’s yours to handle.

For the one recurring loop that books have not changed.
We work on your situation together, at first with me leading, then with you. We find what sets the reaction off, what it has been protecting, and how to come back to yourself while it is happening. Between sessions, a short meditation and one question to carry.
You leave withthe pattern named, and the method in your own hands.
The same method, on the loops that run inside a role: the decision you keep deferring, the person you cannot let go of, the calm you perform in every meeting.
We work on the moments where the role takes over, until you can carry the role without losing yourself in it.
You leave witha way to stand in the role without the role standing on you.
Every team has a loop. The decision that will not close. The person everyone works around. The calm being performed in the room. CRI5 names it, in words people can use with each other afterward.
The map: three Circles, one of which is yours. The pattern underneath most conflict and most stalled decisions. A short, practical process the team can use between meetings. Then one real situation, offered by the room, walked in the room.
You already know how to coach: the agreement, the listening, the powerful question. CRI5 gives your questions somewhere to go. It helps you ask the question that finds the pattern underneath the topic, and the one that brings your client back to themselves while the moment is still happening. It works inside the coaching you already do. It does not replace it.
You learn CRI5 on your own situation first. Then you coach it with me in the client’s seat, and we review each session together. Then you take it to your own clients, with supervision as you need it.
You leave witha method you have lived, a way to teach it, and the confidence to use it with clients from the first session.
“I initially approached executive coaching with David with a fair degree of skepticism.”
Rob · CEO, Peregrine Holdings (Pty) Ltd
As an experienced executive with over 25 years in the financial services industry, both globally and in South Africa, I initially approached executive coaching with David with a fair degree of skepticism.
Having now spent considerable time working with David, I have come to realize that many of my preconceived ideas about leadership and myself needed to be challenged. His approach introduced me to new perspectives and more effective ways of thinking about the challenges of leadership in today’s rapidly changing world.
David’s patient and thoughtful approach worked extremely well in helping me unpack years of established thinking and perceptions, while introducing new concepts and encouraging deeper critical thinking.
His clear and concise style, coupled with his ability to explore ideas quickly and thoughtfully, made the experience both engaging and insightful. At no point did I feel left behind, and I soon realized I was working with someone who has a deep understanding of his subject and an extraordinary breadth of knowledge.
I strongly recommend David as an executive coach to any leader or professional looking to challenge established ways of thinking, develop greater self-awareness, and navigate the complexities of leadership in an ever-changing world.
