Authentic meditation is a way of thinking and being that you can apply with your eyes open throughout your day. We just practice meditation every day for a set period of time to train the mind and body to apply this paradigm throughout your day. Authentic meditation changes the way you live your life, moment by moment.
The Process
Why can’t you just download an app or go to a meditation studio and practice meditation?
Authentic meditation requires an understanding of how the mind actually works. There are 3 systems of thinking and each system has its place in authentic meditation and in your life. We dive into these different systems of thinking and understand them. We then learn how to identify these different systems of thought while mastering the art of observation.
There is no way to apply authentic meditation unless you learn the principles from great teachers of this art. At the same time, you need to have a deep understanding of the way the mind works based on modern psychological principles.
Until you learn how to apply authentic meditation, you will continue to turn to distractions to deal with intense feelings and life challenges. We turn to food, alcohol, smoking, drugs and even sex because we don’t know how to manage our thinking and feelings systems. Authentic meditation takes you inwards instead of outwards.
The 8 Modules
Module 1 - Thinking Systems
What are our different systems of thinking and how can we identify them? You cannot begin to identify thinking patterns until you are deeply aware of your different systems of thought. System 1 & 2 thinking is described in detail and how you can identify them easily.
15-minute session by Professor Daniel Kahneman
Module 2 - What is the Ego?
What and where is the ego? How is it created and how does it function? Learn how ego can take you out of living in your reality. You cannot begin authentic meditation until you understand the concepts of non-duality and the source of all your thoughts.
10-minute session by Alan Watts
Module 3 - Watching Thought
Learn to sit in a state of being and experience. How do you let go of all the stories about who I am and anchor in the space of awareness? How do you address ‘mind storms’? You will see that the key is not to stop or control thoughts!
10-minute session by Mooji
.
Module 4 - Meditation Living
Understand why most methods of meditation are not really meditation at all. Even the most popular forms of meditation today are not really meditation at all. We will dive deep into this topic. See how authentic meditation is a way of thinking and feeling throughout your day.
10-minute session by Krishnamurti
Module 5 - Who Am I?
What is the process of turning the mind inwards and asking the well-known but often misunderstood question: Who am I? We will analyze the different theories about awareness and give you a clear understanding of this difficult concept.
20-minute session by Sri Ramana Maharshi
Module 6 - Pain Body
Understand the concept of pain-body and how it continues to manifest until you learn to let it flow through you without resistance. Until you learn to master the pain body, it will take your thoughts hostage whenever you have a trigger associated with past perceived traumatic events.
10-minute session by Eckhart Tolle
Module 7 - Pain Body Meditation
Learn how to meditate and breathe when you feel an intense feeling so that you can let go of the pain-body that has accumulated from childhood and preventing you from making choice responses. This will not only balance your nervous system but it will allow you to think without constant bias and pain.
Module 8 - Be Awareness
Understand the difference between knowing and thinking. Being and analyzing. You cannot know awareness. You can only be it. Learn to watch thinking instead of thinking about thinking. You learn to just be instead of an idea about being.
10-minute session by Eckhart Tolle

Practical Meditation
I spent many years training and practicing many different types of meditation. I will show you clearly that most approaches are not authentic forms of meditation. They are either different forms of relaxing techniques or visualization.
In every session, we will spend 10 minutes listening to a meditation session being taught by Maimonides, Krishnamurti, Alan Watts, Mooji, and Eckhart Tolle. My approach differs from all teachers on some subtle points but you will learn important facets of meditation of what to do and what not to do from these teachers.
