Galileo once said, “You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself.”

You can only go so far when trying to help someone learn a new concept. It is almost like you have to create the spark of the idea or concept, and allow the other person to relate to it inwardly.

Nothing makes sense unless you have come to a conclusion by yourself. Galileo experienced this first hand when he was introducing many of the concepts of astronomy in his time. It is easy to get frustrated when trying to communicate a new idea to someone, especially if they have been used to thinking a certain way for many years. Be patient and let the concept resonate, instead of trying to ‘convince’ or force it down their throat.
